MITIGATE THE RISK
1. Inspect Extension Cords Before Use

2. Never Use Extension Cords as Permanent Wiring
- Do not use extension cords as a substitute for permanent wiring, and do not run them through walls, doorways, ceilings, or floors.
3. Keep Outdoor Cords Dry
- Keep extension cords used outdoors clear of snow and standing water.
4. Protect the Cord and Grounding Pin
- Do not nail or staple extension cords in place, and never remove the ground pin from a three-prong plug.
